Complaining about commercial radio wasteland is almost as pointless as complaining about the weather. Listen to the good remaining radio stations: college radio, independant stations, and NPR. The only thing that’ll get ClearChannel et al to change their format is market pressure. (Sure, unlikely, but it’s easier than changing the weather).
Although, if I lived in NYC, I might be more depressed about the state of radio. For such a big city, there aren’t very many radio stations at all, let alone ones worth listening to.
