I apparently haven't seen enough movies this year. Of the top categories of 2006 Academy Awards nominees, I've seen:
Category # seen Best Picture 0 Best Actor 0 Best Actress 0 Best Director 0 Best Screenplay 0 Best Adapted Screenplay 1 I've got five weeks. I wonder how much I can improve those numbers.
Update, 6 Mar - I saw only a single additional top-Oscar-nominated movie in the five weeks since this post was made: Match Point, nominated for Best Screenplay. Out of the Oscar winners for all of the categories, I saw only two: The Constant Gardener (Rachel Weisz won Best Supporting Actress) and Wallace and Gromit (Best Animated Film)

I’ve only seen three, this is a good list of movies that I need to see.

8 for me. It would be amazing if Terrence Howard won best actor for Hustle & Flow. The movie wasn’t all that amazing (good, but not amazing), but he was great in it. He was also great in Crash (minor role).
Manish says:
I’ll prollie see Capote on DVD along with Good Night and Good luck, and crash.. Walk the Line was awesome, I really have no desire to see Brokeback Mountain.

We were off to such a good start this year, seeing movies every week, then we stopped. Of the categories to mention, we have seen none.
Chris says:
Just saw Brokeback Mountain and it was simply lovely.
Ryan says:
I’d like to see a new category at the Academy Awards. Best Film Adaptation/Remake of a Fantasy Novel/60 year old movie.

I never really watch/care for any awards show but I did see Batman Begins and episode 3, so I still got one-up on you Plutor.
Movies now kinda suck anyways.
